Boveda will never humidify beyond the RH on the pack, so there’s no such thing as “too much”. You want to think in terms of using at least the minimum because the more you use, the more efficient Boveda works and the longer they last. You’ll know it’s time to replace when the entire Boveda begins turning hard.
Simply place the correct number of Boveda inside your container to maintain a precise relative humidity. Each Boveda consists of a specially prepared saturated solution of pure water and natural salt. This saturated solution is contained within a water-vapor permeable “reverse osmosis” membrane. Within a closed container Boveda maintains a predetermined level of (RH) by releasing or absorbing purified water-vapor, as needed, through the membrane.

Intended Usage: Boveda is ideal for storing and curing (aging) flowers that has already been dried. While Boveda is effective in moisture removal, the standard method of hanging in a dry environment is most effective. When you feel the plant is close to the intended moisture content for curing, Boveda will do the fine tuning for perfect long term storage. Grow it, dry it, package it with Boveda. You get perfect long term curing for the best possible flowers.

Boveda Size 67 is the most versatile for buds use. When used in smaller jars, it lasts longer and never over humidifies. When used in 2 Liter CVaults or turkey bags, simply use more packs based on your weight.
These recommendations are based on the assumption that the herbs are stored in a container with a good seal and vapor-barrier qualities. The tighter the seal, the more efficiently the Boveda will work.
Note: Do not mix Boveda RH levels within the same container, and do not use Boveda in the same container with other humidification products. They will fight against each other and reduce the efficiency of the Boveda.
